Security & Global Threats: How Safe is Our Critical Infrastructure?

Is the Port of Antwerp a strategic asset or, in fact, primarily a vulnerable target? The Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Antwerp & Antwerp America Foundation (AAF) have the honor to invite you to our breakfast meeting on ‘Security and Global Threats’ on Wednesday Sept 16th with David Cattler who served as NATO’s Assistant Secretary General for Intelligence and Security.
According to the EU global threats program critical infrastructure, both physical and digital, is under growing threat in an increasingly unstable world. Port of Antwerp-Bruges is Europe’s largest petrochemical cluster and one of the main gateways to the continent.This makes the port a critical infrastructure not only for Belgium, but for the whole of Europe.
David Cattler will give his insights on “Security & Global Threats” for the audience of the Chamber of Commerce Antwerpen-Waasland and Antwerp America Foundation.
David Cattler served as NATO’s Assistant Secretary General for Intelligence and Security from 2019 to 2023. He previously held senior roles across the U.S. national security community, including at the National Security Council and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. Advisor on Geopolitics, Cyber & Strategic Risk.
