Grants to study in the USA

As part of the Fulbright foreign student program, our partner Fulbright awards scholarships to Belgian and Luxembourgish citizens to study or conduct research in any academic field at an accredited US institution for a period between 4 months and one academic year (9 months)).

AVAILABLE GRANTS:

The Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant Program (FLTA) funds Belgian citizens to spend a year as foreign language teaching assistants in French, German or Dutch in American colleges and universities. Successful candidates are placed in U.S. institutions, where they can receive housing, meals, a monthly stipend and the possibility of following a few courses at the university level in addition to their teaching duties.

As part of the Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program, the Fulbright and University of Missouri Journalism Award funds a mid-career professional journalist from Belgium or Luxembourg to audit two classes at the Missouri Journalism School and to participate in guest lectures and roundtable discussions with students and scholars between mid-August and mid-December (4 months). Grantees are allowed to choose seminars and courses to audit from a list of available courses offered during the semester. Their interest areas and availability of spaces will determine final placement.
