Antwerp America Foundation (AAF) welcomes back American award winning author and transatlantic expert William (Bill) Drozdiak for a riveting key-note talk.
Drozdiak will give a unique preview of his next new book on the fate of Europe in a New Age of Great Power Rivalry & changing EU-US relations.
“Europe can play a key role in determining the outcome of geopolitical conflicts involving Russia, China and the United States”, says the renowned speaker. “The dilemma for Europe is to navigate a path that will enhance its ambition to become an independent and stabilizing force in the new global order while also serving as a constructive and helpful partner with the United States in defending the values and principles of free market democracies against the autocratic regimes in Russia and China.”
Drozdiak will also provide an informed perspective about the future of the Trump administration and the coming elections in the USA.
William Drozdiak is one of the most knowledgeable American observers of European affairs for the last four decades. During his tenure as foreign editor of the Washington Post, the newspaper won Pulitzer Prizes for its international reporting on the Israeli—Palestinian conflict and the collapse of the Soviet communist empire. He later became the founding executive director of the German Marshall Fund’s Transatlantic Center in Brussels and served for ten years as president of the American Council on Germany.
